Hi, I'm Megan.

For more than a decade I've worked in serious marketing roles — strategic communications for one of the largest food companies in the world, brand thought leadership for executives, strategic planning for portfolios bigger than my NDAs let me talk about. I learned how to build campaigns that move products and how to make a brand sound like itself, even when ten different people are writing the captions.

I started The Mother Marketer because I noticed something: almost nobody in marketing understands reptiles, and almost nobody in reptiles understands marketing. The brands trying to grow in this industry deserve someone fluent in both.

So that's what I do. I work with reptile and exotic animal brands — enclosure companies, lighting and substrate makers, retailers expanding their reptile category, breeders running real, ethical businesses — to figure out what they stand for, sound like themselves saying it and build content and campaigns that don't go quiet.

When I'm not working with clients, I'm with my own snakes, volunteering with reptile rescue, walking the floor at NARBC and SuperZoo or parenting my wildly curious six-year-old who loves a good snake fact.
